UNAIR NEWS – Mawaddah Anindya Estiningtyas never thought that the determination and dream to become the best graduate of Faculty of Vocational Studies, on March 2018 graduation ceremony will come true.In fact, a graduate with a 3.87 GPA revealed that she almost could not continue her study to college.
The woman born in Gresik, November 30, 1997 said that her journey to college was a very interesting experience.Initially, when she saw the announcement that she was accepted she was very proud, but it changed instantly when tuition fees that had been prepared by the parents were not sufficient to pay for registration.
“At that time my parents almost decided not to take this.After trying, finally on the last day of payment, one of my dad’s friends helped us with the registration fee.And luckily the management gave me and my parents more time for payment, “she said.
The valuable experience made the graduate who like to write short stories and the article has a strong determination to finish faster.That determination has now come true.The first child of two siblings managed to become a graduate who completed the study in just 2.5 years.
“To realize that dream, I really determined it heart and soul.I always tried not to miss and always come on time for lectures, because I always remember the struggle of parents to finance my school, “she explained.
Despite being graduated in a very short study period, the graduate who had become Finalist of Student Scientific Week (PIM) Vocational 2016 also had followed the competition for Outstanding Student in Faculty in Vocational Studies 2016 and reached Top 20.
In addition, she was also active in various organizations such as Library Technician student association Division Staff 2016-2017, Member of Dongeng Surabaya (non-profit organization, ed) 2017-present, and BKM Staff (BSO Prosperity of Mosque) UKMKI 2016-2017.
“In addition to struggle for academic value students also need to join organizations.Then, always feel confident when following the activity, confidence does not mean arrogance.Lastly, do not be afraid to move, “she concluded. (*)
