Two Saudi Arabian officials were present, Mohammed S. Haqqi and Mr.Issom Bibsait.In the visit, various potential fields of cooperation were discussed, especially the fields related to research and higher education.
H.E. Osamah Mohammed Al-Shuibi revealed, in Saudi Arabia, there are several universities that have the potential to establish cooperation with UNAIR.One of them is Al-Imam Mohamed Ibn Saud Islamic University.On the other hand, UNAIR, he said, is one of the oldest universities in Indonesia that has excellence in the field of health.
“The government and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly support the principles of collaboration and cooperation towards the common good, especially in education because education is the pulse of progress.We have previously held cooperation with seven universities in Indonesia, “he said in the Rector檚 Room.
Both research and expert exchange, he added, should be done immediately.For example for health and general problems in every country.The ambassador explained there are some diseases that do not exist in Arab.Therefore, the collaboration is needed in a joint effort to find solutions and improve the quality of experts in each university.
“Collaboration and exchange of experience from experts in both countries hopefully can improve the quality of education.Furthermore, to give impact on the progress of each country, “he said.
