UNAIR NEWS –The rapid economic development has an impact on income disparities, so there is a gap between the rich and the poor.Philanthropy as a manifestation of Muslims generosity to fellow Muslims in need, is an alternative effort in improving the power of society.Association of Sharia Economics Studies (AcSES) FEB UNAIR held Grand Dakwah with a theme “The Eternal Fund of Philanthropy, by Muslims, for Civil Indonesia”.
“There檚 a rapid economic development.Even communist-based economy is stagnant, but this sharia-based economy continues to survive.In this case, a riba-free sharia economy can be an alternative.Therefore, we from the University of Airlangga support this event and hopefully be a success, “said Dr.M. Hadi Subhan, SH., MH., CN, Director of Student Affairs, when opening Grand Dakwah as well as opening of Scientific Festival which will be held until Saturday, September 23.
To deliver a keynote speech, Secretary of Indonesian Ulema Council, East Java Ustadz H. Ainul Yakin, S.Si., Apt said, Islam is bestowed upon earth as God’s grace.Rahmatan lil alamin, namely the love and affection of God in providing prosperity.
“So love the people of this earth, Allah will love you.Do not act arbitrarily or act unjustly in the neighborhood, “added Ustaz Ainul.
In regard to generosity, Ustaz Ainul provides an overview of the relationship in Islam.For example, anyone who let his neighbor get sick, should be questioned his Islam.In addition, Ustaz Ainul also invited the participants to quickly give alms before the arrival of a period when they no longer have the opportunity to give charity, that is death.
Hasanudin, head of Dompet Dhuafa branch of East Java who was also the speaker explained that there are various kinds of philanthropy activities such as zakat, waqf, and infaq.The potential of Zakat accumulatively reaches 200 trillion more, while wakaf penetrate 700 trillion.This great potential can be allocated to education, social, economic, and various fields that fit the criteria.
Besides for sermon, people crowded the Ulul Azmi Mosque, just after isya.Not only filled by speakers, but the activity was enlivened by tenants of food and beverages.
