UNAIR NEWS I am so curious about the football supporters here (Indonesia), especially, in Surabaya, BONEK. I want to know more, Denis Pohl stated, An International student of AMERTA (Academic Mobility Exchange for Undergraduate at Airlangga) Program.
Dennies Pohl is a student of Hamburg University who takes Southeast Asia culture study. During joining AMERTA program which will end in December 2017, he will take time to arrange his thesis about enthusiasm of Persebaya Supporters addressed as Bonek.
His arrival in Indonesia was about a month half ago, thus, he still attempted discovering the existence of Bonek itself. During his interview with UNAIR NEWS, he said that he was so interested in football in Surabaya, especially the supporters. Moreover, he has planned to see the football match directly.

He interested in football, especially ASEAN football. Dennies admitted he often to watch ASEAN football match via Youtube . Through the match, he was so amazed by the supporters while cheering up their favorite football team in the yard. Particularly, when he saw the Persebaya supporters who sang and chanted together. It made an impression for him.
I would like to know about their role in supporting football and their motivation to be a supporter, Dennies stated
In the near future, Dennies expectes to meet some supporters whom he would like to interview to acquire data for his thesis.
Interested in Indonesia
In addition to interested in football of Indonesia, he informed that his participation in AMERTA program was due to his interest in Indonesia. He fascinated in various culture of Indonesia and friendly Indonesians.
