UNAIR NEWS – 51动漫 will always provide the best service to every student, not only in learning but also in personal approach. This is done because it is possible for students to have problems and difficulty solving the problem. For this reason theUNAIRHelp Center(HC)ispresent to provide free consultation.
“It’s for the good of UNAIR students,” said Dr.M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH., CN., Director of Student Affairs of 51动漫, when opening “Workshop on Role and Functionof 51动漫 Help Center” at Student Center Building, Campus C UNAIR, Monday, November 21.
The workshop was attended by students from representatives of all faculties and UKM (Student Activity Unit).HC which is currently headed by Dra.Liestianingsih Dwi Dayanti, M.Si., in this workshop presented two speakers, Prof.Dra.Myrtati Dyah Artaria, MA, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology FISIP UNAIR and pioneer of HC UNAIR, and Dr.Dewi Retno Suminar, M.Si., Vice Dean III of Faculty of Psychology UNAIR.
UNAIRHelp Centeris officially inaugurated in 2014 under the Directorate of Student Affairs (Dirmawa). But it has not been maximally used by students. Therefore Dirmawa will inform the existence of HC in every student activities at UNAIR.
Dr.Hadi Shubhan said that the discussion on HC is interesting. In the leadership meeting of UNAIR not long ago, it was discussed along with UKMs, student achievements, bidikmisi, and other student activities.
“If students have a personal problem that affects the process and results of their studies, it is a pity and they should be helped.Perhaps all this time they are confused where to‘vent’.They can檛 speak to the landlady or neighbors. So the right place should be thehelp centerto help them, “said Hadi Shubhan.
Problems that can be consulted covers all kinds of the problems faced. For example concerning the relationship between students, stress, study problems, sexual harassment, until difficulty to mingle so for example they do not have special friends even before graduation.
“This HC will at least help students solving their problems, provide therapy, so at least they become a friendto confide inand guarantee the confidentiality,” added the Director of Student Affairs.

The same thing conveyed by Prof.Myrtati Dyah Artaria, that the need to speak to someone with a personal matter is necessary, especially for newcomers.Various problems can be shared to HC, such as academic problems, personal issues such as low self-esteem, less able to mingle, boyfriend problems, stress, anxiety, violence, toconfidentialproblems.
“Please contact HC, either via phone, email, facebook, twitter.Time and location of the meeting can be arranged by agreement, but in the safe campus environment,” added Prof.Myrtati.
According to Dr.Dewi Retno Suminar, M.Si., she still categorizes college students as teenagers, and divides them into two classifications, mid and late teenagers.Teenagers always have problems.Even with a small problem, it affects their studies because they do not have experience. For example, excessive college assignments, problems with boarding house mates, economic issues, etc.
“With HC we hope the personal problems of UNAIR students, if any, can be resolved internally, so the problems will not get out which will only add more problems,” added the lecturer of UNAIR Faculty of Psychology.
Both speakers hoped to involve BEM (Student Executive Board) in echoing “HC UNAIR Peduli” through routine activities, so thestudentawarenesswill be better, campus will be more conducive, free from human rights violation, preventive action is prioritized, and 4P action: prevention, reminder, helper, and advisor is implemented.(*)
