UNAIR NEWS – As a series of activities in Tabligh Akbar in Ramadhan 1439-H, BEM KM Faculty of Medicine (FK) , Sunday, May 27, 2018 afternoon invited hundreds of orphans from 13 Orphanages (PA) in Surabaya.They were invited to join the Iftar with Orphans (BREGMA) event held in the Hall of Grahabik Building IPTEKDOK, Campus FK UNAIR Jl.Mayjen.Prof.Dr.Moestopo 47 Surabaya.
According to Imaniar Indraswara, head of Tabligh Akbar and Bregma committee, BREGMA activity was packed slightly different from the tabligh akbar.BREGMA is not open to the public, but the committee provides coupons to eat together (iftar) for the orphanage.
“We invited 450 orphans from 13 orphanages in Surabaya,” said Imaniar.They were Panti Tunas Yatim (42 children + 1 companion), PA Cahaya Insani (15 children + 3), Ibn Maryam (29 children + 2), Assa’adah (16 children + 1) Putri Aisyiah (12 children + 2), Al Kahfi (44 children + 2), BJ Habibie (30 children + 1), Ashabul Kahfi (30 + 2), Arif Rahman Hakim (39 children + 2), PA Muhammadiyah (28 children + 1), Hidayatush Shibyan (37 children + 1), Al-Fatih (48 children + 20), and Al-Hasyimi (44 + 5 companions).

Imaniar also said that the number of children invited in this year’s iftar event increased slightly compared to last year.At that time there were only 300 children.
In the event with hundreds of children from orphanages, the committee presented Kak Hadiyan Maryadi, a Muslim storyteller who is also the Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Brotherhood Association.He gave entertainment to children with useful teachings delivered in an interesting way using puppet tools and interactive games.
Such attractive game is done while waiting for the maghrib prayer.The event was then closed with having iftar together and a gift sharing.

In this BREGMA event, the committee wants to share to many people, especially residents of Surabaya.The event BREGMA is expected to give opportunities for people to participate in sharing happiness to children who need love.
“We from the committee hoped that through this BREGMA event we can improve awareness to the community and academic community to share to orphans and people in need,” said Imaniar.(*)
