UNAIR NEWS As a form of community service, FKG UNAIR through its Pediatrics Dentistry (IKGA) participated at social eventWalk for Autism(WFA) in City Hall. IKGA department collaborated with Indonesian Pediatric Dentist Profession Association (IDGAI) of East Java. The event was held on Saturday, May 21 to celebrate Surabaya檚 723rd anniversary.
IKGA team provided free dental care, consultation and counseling on children檚 dental health. In the occasion, many parents took their children to check their teeth as well as introduced dentist as a profession to them.
淏esides celebrating this month of medication as it is Surabaya檚 anniversary, what we do here is also a service of pediatric dentistry to the community, said the Head of IKGA department UNAIR who is also the head of central management of IDGAI, Udijanto Tedjosasongko, drg., Ph.D., Sp.KGA(K).
He explained that this event was used by IDGAI as a way to introduce pediatric dentistry competence especially to special children. Also a way to collaborate with the stake holders and communitiesrelated to children. (*)
