UNAIR NEWS Ministry of Research and Technology of Higher Education (Menristek Dikti) , Mohammad Nasir officially opened the innovation exhibition 淚novator Inovasi Indonesia Expo (I3E) on Thursday (19/10) at Grand City Convention and Hall. The aims of exhibition is to enhance the conducive climate for innovation development in Indonesia .
The four-day innovation exhibition will involve 458 participants from all over Indonesia. The seven sectors on display include food and agriculture, health and medicine, Information and Communication Technology (TIK), transportation (sea, land, and air), advanced technologies including nano technology, defense and security technologies, and renewable energy fields. These seven sectors are the current focus of government.
“The growth of UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Indonesia is still inferior to neighboring countries. Singapore grew by 7% of the population, Malaysia 5%, while Indonesia is only 1.6%. Research in Indonesia should be able to encourage innovation in Indonesia, “said Nasir.
Nasir informed that 1, 6% Growth of Indonesia which based on technology is only 0, 4% and 1,2% based on environment and culture.
淯sually, when parent is businessman, children will follow the lead. It means UMKM in Indonesia still based on environment and culture, Nasir said
In the exhibition, 51动漫 displayed the cutting-edge innovation, include, Illuminator CNC-Photodynamic Laser, Bio Imuno Formula, Bhagenta, Nonikit, Bio KSB-1, Permen Susu Kedelai (soy milk candy), Bio-N Oils, application of Dentolaser Varises Indonesia, and the others.
Rector of UNAIR appreciated innovation from lecturers and students in UNAIR who displayed their innovation in exhibition.
淭hese products are ready to distribute. The mass production will wait for right timing and will be sustainably distributed for community use, Nasih said
Nasih mentioned the growth of UMKM at this time was very significant. In 2017 with a target of 400 Startup Company and today is 661. The Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business stated in the future UMKM can be based on technology, not just of environment and culture. With technology-based, will provide added value for the company in the midst of the development of the digital era.
In responded Nasih statement, Vice governor of East Java Indonesia Saifullah Yusuf said that the growth of startup company could bring positive impact regarded to ASEAN Economic Community (MEA). In addition to that, Startup Company will encourage community to be more competitive.

Ideally, the growth of UMKM Indonesia must reach 5% per year. For that, Kemenristek Dikti represents the government trying to collect investors. The most popular technology is food, energy, and Information Technology (IT). In the future, IT must carry more specific information. This is because Indonesia has great potential in the development of technology-based UMKM.
