UNAIR NEWS Research excellence of 51动漫 has made Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Prof. Mohammad Nasir inspect the research results from UNAIR researchers.
In the visit on Friday, April 28, Nasir inspects the prototypes and publications of UNAIR researchers in Amerta Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR, Institute of Tropical Disease (ITD) and UNAIR Hospital.
Nasir inspected the UNAIR research and product booths accompanied by the lecturer and Cooperation and Business staff, Andi Hamim Zaidan, Ph.D. Some of the research products exhibited were stem cell innovation, biomaterial for bone implant, laser product for dental and oral disease, Avian Flu drugs and seaweed capsules.
淭his is (capsule) one of our products which received funding from Ristekdikti. The seaweed capsules are halal product which can be used as supplements, said Zaidan.
淧eople will consider the cost. Is it cheaper? asked Nasir.
The question was answered by Vice Rector IV overseeing Business Cooperation, Junaidi Khotib, Ph.D. 淲e have calculated the cost and it is cheaper, said Junaidi.
The inspection was then continued with the minister檚 speech. In his speech, Nasir appreciates the products or publications of UNAIR researchers. He said that the university researchers must be the storage of innovations for the economy which makes the nation prosper.
淚 appreciate the inventors who produce innovations for Indonesia, for better economy. Innovation must be continuously made. If we talk about education, we talk about the future, said Nasir.
淚 am proud of the researchers as the innovations produced by UNAIR such as stem cell, herbal medicine and health supports such as implants. Including animal health as well. These innovations, if we develop them excellently and consistently, Indonesia will be more advanced than the other countries, said the professor of Accounting.
In his speech, Nasir also mentioned Indonesia檚 position at global competition.
淭he lack of skillful human resources. The graduates keep producing innovations but the competition from other countries runs faster, he stated.
Therefore, he pushed the universities independence especially for the ones acting as legal entity. Therefore, he also hoped that universities become teaching industry.
淚 support the efforts made by 51动漫 as the research has contributed greatly for the society. So, in the future, students can have free education but the regulation should be prepared well, said Nasir.
