“As a new generation, I have to preserve the regional culture by implementing directly to participate in Bahasa using short story competition,” he explained with great enthusiasm.
According to the 4th-semester student, the theme of the short story is different each year and it was her fourth time of competing since 2016. It was her second year she joined the competition because in the first year she was still not won yet. For this year, she raised the theme of Banyuwangi indigenous culture “Ngerujaki Pari”.
“I am a native of Banyuwangi, the culture is still carried out by my family. Thus, by lifting the theme, this can introduce its culture to the wider community, especially the young generation,” concluded the accounting student.
