UNAIR NEWS“ 51¶¯Âþ (UNAIR) has been referred by high school students as a university of their choice.It can be seen from senior high schools which routinely holds a visit andstudy campusto UNAIR.As seen on Monday, December 18.
Some high school students crowded Airlangga Convention Center in Campus C. They came from three regions.In fact, it took eleven buses to accommodate the students interested in UNAIR.
They were class XII high school students from Jombang, Madiun, and Kediri.The visit was done for the collaboration of Counseling Teachers Forum(MGBK) of the three regions because of the students™ enthusiasm.
“At first it was only for MGBK Jombang.Because it is our routine event, there were a lot enthusiasts from surrounding areas.Finally we agreed to collaborate and together provide insight to students about UNAIR, “explained Head of MGBK Jombang Nur Hasan Efendi toUNAIR News.
Head of MGBK Kediri Matlas added, from Kediri, there were 15 high schools which send their representatives.Some were from SMAN 1 Pare, SMAN 2 Pare, SMA Muhammadiyah, SMAN Grogol, SMAN Gurah, and SMAN Kandangan.
During the visit, the participants were received directly by the Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR Dr. Suko Widodo in ACC Room 2nd floor. In his presentation, Dr.Moh.Anam Al Arif, drh., MP., from the student admission center (PPMB) described the admission pathways of UNAIR.
The participants were very enthusiastic to listen to the presentation.In fact, the students asked a lot of questions about admissions at UNAIR.
In addition to gaining knowledge on student admissions at UNAIR, students were very excited to see first hand the facilities at UNAIR such as Airlangga Convention Center, Management Office Building, faculty buildings, mosques, and lakes for spots to take pictures.
“I feel proud for being at UNAIR.I hope next year to be admitted at UNAIR.Because, UNAIR is fun and the campus is clean, “said some female students of SMA Negeri 2 Jombang during the visit.
Similar response came from male high school students.“The campus is clean even it’s in a big city.The students are also smart.The competition is very tight.So, I am motivated to be a student of UNAIR, “said Yulian.
“For me, UNAIR is a good university.Moreover, its name already worldwide.It hascollaborated with several overseas universities.It motivates me for next year to study here, “added Muhammad Idham.(*)
