UNAIR NEWS After joining the series of Freshmen Introduction Program (PPKMB) in University level, 258 freshman of law joined faculty orientation called Justitia. It was not much different from the previous, Justitia 2017 held in three days from Tuesday (8/8) to Thursday (10/8)
By bringing theme Forming Character of Jurist Based on Pancasila and Tri Dharma of Higher Education, this program expected to be a place for freshman of law student could be as Jurist based on Pancasila. Besides, this program would teach student to be able apply the Tri Dharma in the future.
Our expectation as the committee is this session can be a place for student to start the movement in Higher education. In which, the freshman begin to transition from high school student to higher education student and keep holding Pancasila and Apply the Tri Dharma of Higher education, Julio Prasetyo said, the chief of Justitia 2017.
In first day, the dean of Faculty of Law UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Drs. Abd. Shomad, S.H.,M.H officially opened the orientation. Then the following session was talk show by some lecturers, such as Prof. Dr. Muchammad Zaidun, S.H.,MSi, Nurul Barizah, S.H.,LL.M.,Ph.D., and I Wayan Tatib Sulaksana, S.H.,M.S.
In the second day, student was introduced to many semi-autonomous Board (BSO) in Faculty of Law; it allows them to choose BSO based on their passion as the non-academic activity. The performance of member of moot court community (BSO KPS) made the enthusiast of freshman to join the BSO sooner.
“The several of BSO in Faculty of Law are Business Study Forum (FSB) studying Business Law, Airlangga Law Student Committee (KOMAHI) deepening advocacy field, and Junior Youth Community (MYMA) who pursue Debate field,” added Julio
In the last day, the closing orientation was held at parking area of Faculty of Law. They were reciting student-oath and singing Hymn Airlangga. (*)
