UNAIR NEWS听– Benefits are gained from one who shares experiences and thoughts through writings and share them in the media, such as a website or blog.听At , students and faculty are facilitated personal blogs that can be used for sharing ideas and knowledge.
In addition to sharing thoughts, UNAIR through the Directorate of Information System provides听rewards听for members of academic community who actively publish in their blog, for individual, program, or department.听Dr.听Suparto Wijoyo, SH, M.Hum., was one of them.听In 2017 he was crowned as the winner from lecturer category who won awards for his activities to write on his personal blog.听For his activeness, he won a laptop from UNAIR. He was the third winner in the previous year.
In a week, there are at least 4 to 5 posts that he publish on his personal blog.听This law faculty lecturer also has a column in some printed mass media.听His works from that printed media then uploaded on the blog at the same time.
There are at least 4 columns in mass media that present his works, such as Kontemplasi 颈苍听Surabaya Pagi, Sumamburat 颈苍听Harian Bangsa听, Tajalli in Harian听Duta Masyarakat, he also wrote for several law magazines, one of them in the magazine听Koridor听.听All his works in the mass media, always appear on the front page.
“I am writing on a blog facilitated by UNAIR to accommodate the academic response to a range of public issues.听For that reason, I am also a writer in many media, “he said.
“For me it is part of the contribution as a member of UNAIR academic community to provide solutions of various kinds of problems.听That’s the capacity I can give as an academician, “he added.
Previously, the activeness of Suparto in publishing posts on UNAIR blog has not been as active in the past two years.听Because of motivation from various parties, it has become a habit.听Moreover, he realized that the more active academics write on the blog, the more supports given to UNAIR in the national and international scene.
UNAIR’s commitment in improving the writing habit of its members of academic community is real.听Every year, there are听rewards听given exclusively for active authors on blogs.
“It used to be hard to听publish.听Because I never imagine if there is motivation provided by the campus, “said Suparto.
Sometimes, 颈苍听publishing听his works on blog, Suparto got some constraints, such as an unstable network.听Therefore, he hoped the internet network in UNAIR to be improved more.
“I often have network problem, such as听maintenance.听I hope the IT network in UNAIR is improved further.听Because it is important, and I feel the benefit, “he said.
He also hoped, other lecturers in the UNAIR to be more active in sharing his thoughts in the media that has been provided by the campus.听“If you want UNAIR to be acknowledged at global level, our thoughts should be published on the blog.听Because it is very influential to determine UNAIR at international level, “he explained.
