UNAIR NEWS“ In welcoming State University National Admission Selection (SNMPTN) and State University Joint Entrance Test (SBMPTN), Knights of Airlangga Kebumen conducted a dissemination on 51¶¯Âþ to high school students in Kebumen, Central Java.
The event was held from January 2 to 7, 2017. There were six schools targeted for the dissemination, SMAN 1 Kebumen, SMAN 2 Kebumen, SMAN 1 Gombong, SMAN 1 Prembun, SMAN 1 Kutowinangun, and MAN 2 Kebumen.
- Najib Rahman as the coordinator of activities said that at least 25 students from Kebumen are expected to be accepted in UNAIR, asthere are only few students from Kebumen who study at UNAIR.
“There are so many Kebumen students who do not know about UNAIR.Most of them only know the universities located in Central Java and Yogyakarta.Therefore, UNAIR students from Kebumen are very eager to introduce UNAIR, “explained the undergraduate student of Development Economics.
In addition to introducing UNAIR, Najib who is also alumni of SMAN 2 Kebumen said that he and the team also shared information about bidikmisi.Before returning to the area he also received direction from UNAIR to share about bidikmisi.
“The students were very enthusiastic when they were introduced to UNAIR.Many of them were still confused where to study.With this they began to take UNAIR into account as a place to continue the study, “he added.
Not only Najib, Bustanul Haq of the same team, after the dissemination was very happy.The reason, in addition to share information to younger generation who want to go to college, he could also remember the time when he struggled to become a student like today.
“The purpose of this socialization is to share knowledge and experience.Because this is very useful for students who have the desire to college.So they have a picture of where the lecture and what the appropriate program with talent, “he explained.
Furthermore, the student who is called Haq also said that he and the team always strive to keep the things that have been shared during dissemination.For example to help provide lodging for students who will follow SBMPTN at UNAIR or freshmen who will re-register.
“Hopefully every year students from Kebumen who study at UNAIR can increase more,” he concluded.
