UNAIR NEWS Performing in legal scene is a path chose by Prof. Dr. Basuki Rekso Wibowo, S.H., M.S. The man known better as Basuki admitted that he started his interest on legal studies when he was studying in high school. For him, legal studies are interesting to learn.
淚 was interested in law as it relates with justice, decency, right, obligation, power and humanity, he said.
Basuki established and managed Community and Legal Aid Institution Foundation (YLSKBH) in Surabaya in 1982. He also started a Manggala Surya legal consultant office in 1989 and WINS and Partners law firm in Surabaya in 2008.
N community service, he has collaborated with Law and Policy Study Center (PSHK), he conducted research and formulated Traffic Settlement National Standards in Courts in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
淚 have worked with Judicial Sector Supporting Project (JSSP) as well to conduct a research on cassation case reduction and case review, he added.
His academic performance is shown through legal researches. He was active conducting researches from1986 to 2016. The professor emeritus has published 100 research titles. In his professional work, he has been the Head of Legal Aid Institution (LBH) DPD Korpri East Java from 2007 to 2009. Then he worked as the Head of Constitutional Review Team of National Legal Development Agency (BPHN) of the Ministry of Legal and Human Rights in 2015, and as secretary of PERMA formulation for Traffic Violation Settlement in 2016.
淭he knowledge I learned in bachelor, master and doctoral program and experience in practice is used to stay committed and serve, either as academician or practitioner who is useful for the people looking for justice, he said.
