UNAIR NEWS After finishing his bachelor program in Accounting in Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Prof. Dr. I Made Narsa, SE., M.Si., Ak. CA., then continued his study in same discipline in Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. He was the professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 51动漫 who is interested in Behavioral Accounting.
He started his management accounting studies when he was writing his master thesis in UGM. Then, he chose Behavioral Accounting for his sub-studies to get his doctoral degree.
淚 chose management accounting specialized in Behavioral Accounting as right now accounting develops dynamically following business development. Management accounting runs flexibly following the dynamics of the company, said Narsa.
He observed that there are many modern management accounting techniques appearing and developing. Furthermore, in economic and business, the science development shifted from functional to behavioral.
For example, economics has developed into behavioral economics. Finance has developed to behavioral finance and accounting developed into behavioral accounting.
淚n the future, the developing domain is environmental and sociological of certain discipline, such as accounting, said the man born in Jembrana, Bali.
Nasrsa said that the shift towards sociology happens because of massive technological development. At micro level, sophisticated production technology has been developed and changed the company檚 production process. This change demands management accounting to change as well. In short, accounting domain covers all parties affected by the accounting system output and all parties which affected accounting system.
淚n the future, accounting will develop towards Behavioral Accounting as it is not only about reports and accounting activity but also take the stakeholders behavior into account, said the lecturer born on June 27, 1965.
Beside working as a lecturer in FEB UNAIR, Narsa also assumes position as the Head of UNAIR Library. For this, he implement management accounting to manage the library. He plans the management and controls the library activities with his knowledge.
Various achievements have been made by Narsa since junior high school. He was named as Outstanding student II at Jembrana Regency in 1982 when he was a junior highschool, Outstanding student II at Jembrana regency in 1985 when he was senior high school, Best Results of EBTANAS SMTA- Jembrana Regency in 1986, graduated cum laude from bachelor to doctoral degrees, Best Participant of Accounting Theory for Young Lecturers Among Universities (PAU) Universitas Gadjah Mada in 1990.
Narsa also won a Karya Satya X from The President RI in 2005 and Karya Satya XX from President RI in 2016. At least 20 times he has been a speaker in seminar and workshop from 1995 until now and he has published his works in scientific journals more than 30 articles. (*)
