Literacy Movement, Gerbang Desa Volume IV Ready to Complete Library and Book Delivery

UNAIR NEWS“ The construction of a library by Ministry of Community Service BEM in 2017 in Jolosutro Village, Blitar had been stopped for a while and it is going to be completed in 2018.

The Village Development Movement (Gerbang Desa), as an ongoing program from year to year, will not let the library built by the previous board to be on hold.For that purpose, as planned on July 27, 2018 the entire Gerbang Desa committee volume IV with the residents will inaugurate the library.

Muhammad Ali Ridho as the Head of Gerbang Desa Volume IV said that the library construction only needed a finishing touch. The building is already standing, and we are waiting for the book delivery and completeness of the necessary inventory.

“We expect it to be inaugurated on the 27th.The library is expected to be used by residents of Jolosutro village to seek as much knowledge as possible through the books sent on the first day of Gerbang Desa Volume IV.“Not only for elementary or kindergarten students, the library and books provided there will be opened to the public,” he explained.

He said that the completion of the library will be done together.The entire committee and villagers of Jolosutro will work together to complete the library building.The method of mutual cooperation, in addition to saving costs by not employing construction workers, it also increases solidarity between citizens and the committee.

“Once the library is inaugurated, the management will be given to the school or the structural body in the school.And because the library is intended for public, then the community will help as well for the management of the library, “he said.

Gerbang Desa has great expectations for the library to be completed on target, so the public can utilize it immediately.

“And the monitoring, every month a representative from the staff of Ministry of Community Service, BEM UNAIR 2018 will visit to see the progress made by the locals and infrastructure that has been built there,” he concluded.
