LP4M Launches Latest Thematic KKN Model

UNAIR NEWS The next Community Service Program – Learning Together with the Community (KKN-BBM) 51动漫 will apply new model. It was stated by the Head of Institute of Community Service, Education, Training and Development (LP4M) Prof. Dr. Jusuf Irianto.

淯NAIR is a university excels in Health and it is chosen as the theme of KKN this time. One of the targets of Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) is Health. We want to make it a success, said Prof. Dr. Jusuf Irianto, Drs., M.Com., as the Head of LP4M Unair.

Thematic KKN Model launched by is the first applied in Indonesia. Regarding the implementation, LP4M UNAIR will collaborate with Coordinating Ministry of Human and Culture Development. The health problems adapted for Thematic KKN are nutrition, citizenship, drug abuse and mental revolution.

Jusuf said that Thematic KKN will have a new culture, to improve contribution to the community.

淭he success of this is affected by the roles of Village Development Supervising lecturers (DP2D). They will guide students in the same place and it will be held continuously, he said.

Sent to Ten Regencies

This Thematic KKN-BBM will be held from July 11 to August 5, there will be 3,500 students and 175 DP2D making contributions to the community in 350 villages in ten regencies/cities in East Java.

They are Banyuwangi, Sampang, Probolinggo, Nganjuk, Jember, Gresik, Lamongan, Bojonegoro, and Surabaya.

The expert on Human Resources Management said that his unit will monitor the organization through reports sent by participating students. For this upcoming Thematic KKN-BBM, students are expected to make a work program.

淭he next period must be able to actualize the program. If we previously collected the data, the next period, we have to develop work program to handle the problems based on the data founded, said Jusuf.

Later on, after three years of new Thematic KKN-BBM model implemented, there will be formative and summative evaluation.

In the evaluation, we will see the success rate of students in decreasing mortality rate during birth, lowering the number of bad nutrition case, creating healthy life style in the family and reducing the prevalence of infectious diseases.
