UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 hosted an international event. This time, Master Program of Media and Communication hosted an event 淚nternational Post-Graduate Conference on Media and Communication. The event took place at Ballroom Hotel Harris, Jalan Bangka, Surabaya, on Monday (13/11).
Annually, the study program host event with interesting topics and relate to hot issues. The speakers are come from various experts, so the participants are enthusiast to come in.
The event consists of a discussion / presentation panel and a general seminar. The panel discussion was held from 07.30 to 09.30. Then, continued with a general seminar session with renowned speakers until 12.30. then, after Ishoma until 13:00, again held a panel discussion until 17:00.
There were three invited speakers, includes, Prof. Dr. Sharyn Graham Davies from Auckland University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Gati Gayatri, MA, from Literacy Research Center and Profession of Ministry of Communications and Informatics, and Dr. Ir. Kuskridho Ambardi, MA., Executive director of the Indonesian Survey Institute.
There were about 160 attendees participated in the event either as a presenter or participant. They come from various countries, other than Indonesia, including from Palestine and France.
Head of Communication Department Dr. Yayan Sakti Suryandaru expressed, they and team would always strives to host quality event that are open to the public. “So it can be useful widely, both for students and the community,” he explained.
In the same place, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Dr. Falih Suaedi expressed, knowledge about media and communication is absolute. Especially, in today as digital era. “An understanding of digital media literacy needs to be continuously improved for community development in all areas,” Falih said in his speech.
