This Monday, UNAIR and Australia Have Maritime Discussion

UNAIR NEWS The Perth USAsia Centre and 51动漫 is inviting academicians to attend a panel discussion on maritime challenges faced by Indonesia and Australia.

The panel discussion, “The Blue Zone: Environment, Security and Resources in the Indo-Pacific Maritime Realm” will be held Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building Campus C UNAIR, Monday, May 22. There will be four speakers in the panel discussion.

Four of them are Dino Patti Djalal (former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States), and Prof. Stephen Smith (former AustralianMinister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defense).

There will be Prof. Erika Techera (Director of the University of Western Australia’s Oceans Institute), and Prof. Sri Subekti Bendryman (a Professor of Parasitological Science at the 51动漫 Faculty of Fisheries and Marine and General Secretary of the Consortium of the Sea Partnership of East Java) as the speakers.

In the discussion, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mochammad Nasih, Ambassador of Australia to Indonesia Paul Grigson, and State Development; Energy; Mines & Petroleum Minister Bill Johnston to deliver introductory addresses.

The event held from 14.30 to 16.00 will be moderated by Prof. Gordon Flake.

The panel discussion is a sister-province event between East Java and West Australia. The panel discussion is also a part of 淚n The Zone annual conference Acara held by Perth USAsia Centre.
