UNAIR NEWS BEM FK has successfully organized a night run event with 500 participants. A student named Robby Dwi K, runner number 032, from Mayangan, Probolinggo Regency finished first.
His colleague, Ririk Satrio (Number 033), a student from Jl. Basuki Rahmat, Gang Masjid Baiturrohman, Mangunharjo Village, Mayangan Subdistrict, Probolinggo City, followed as the second winner in “Agoraphobia: Frightmare Run” held Saturday, March 24. This night run was the opening of Dean Cup 2018 of FK UNAIR.
In the 6 kilometer race, the thir place was a Navy officer, Pratu Mar. Riwan Maryesno Dondo (participant number 166). The man from Sawidago Village, Kec. North Pomana, Kab. Poso, Central Sulawesi is also a member of Jaguar Yon Infantry Company 5 Marines Surabaya. Mochammad Ridwan Fajar (number 031), 12th grader of MA Assulthon, Probolinggo, won as the 4th Winner.
“I am grateful to finish second. Im happy, although not the first place I’m still grateful, “said Ririk Satrio to UNAIR NEWS. He admitted often participate in a night run event like this.
Dean of Faculty of Medicine UNAIR Prof. Dr. Soetojo, dr., SpU. (K), while wiping his sweat after reaching the finish line in his campus, expressed his gratitude that the third night run event was a success. It ran well with no obstacles in the implementation. The event was organized by FK students class 2016-2017.
Next to Prof. Soetojo, Chief of Surabaya City Police Force Surabaya Police Great Commissioner Rudi Setiawan also expressed his gratitude. “It ran well, cool, made body healthy,” he said while taking photos with the students.
Saturday, 24 March, the FK UNAIR campus became lively. Beside the large stage for entertainment, there were Night Market tents offering various culinary menus in the food festival.
Head of BEM FK UNAIR, Prima Ardiansyah, said that the Dean Cup activities are held with international scientific class, such as Medspin, with social services to the community as well.
“As an FK student, we must prove that we do not only learn, but we can also organize, socialize, perform artistic, and do exercise,” said Prima.
Dean of FK UNAIR Prof. Soetojo explained that Dean Cup is as part of the learning mission towards independence, innovation and excellence, especially as students in health sector executives, it is required to be ready to accept the task.
“Well, to be ready, they must be healthy physically. How to be healthy? One of them is through exercise and running was chosen because it is the cheapest exercise. So hopefully they will be healthy and also smart, “said Prof. Soetojo, Professor of Urology Faculty of Medicine UNAIR/ RSUD Dr. Soetomo.

Then, they cut the ribbon and the runners started running. Participants ran from campus A (FK) to Jl. Karangmenjangan – Campus B (Jl. Airlangga) – Grand City – City Hall – back to campus A Jl. Prof. Dr. Moestopo (FK campus). In some spots in the route, dozens of “zombies” were posted to scare the runners. But there were no runner who care about them and scared, they keep running to finish line. (*)
