UNAIR NEWS MKWU Directorate of Education 51动漫 has welcomed Youth Pledge Day by organizing Nationalism Scientific Week with a theme 淧ancasila in Daily Lives: Between Expectation and Reality. The event was held on Thursday, October 26 in MKWU UNAIR Building.
Because of the great enthusiasm of UNAIR students, the seminar and nationalism dialogue was held in two rooms, Moh. Hatta and Ir. Soekarno. A traditional dance opened the event as a reminder to our love to Indonesian culture.
This Nationalism Scientific Week this time invited a speaker from the high school students of Surabaya, Pekan ilmiah kebangsaan kali ini menghadirkan narasumber dari kalangan pelajar Surabaya, Aryo Seno Bagaskoro as Head of High School Student Alliance including a lecturer of Political Studies UNAIR Airlangga Pribadi Kusman, S.IP., M.Si.
Seno explained that Indonesia is a unique country capable of uniting any differences, tribes, races, traditions and visions of each individual. So, there is only one reason why Indonesia, with all its differences, can unite, it is all because Pancasila.
According to him, Pancasila is not only a symbol, but there is a strong vision and mission of Indonesians in it. 淏ut when I asked the meaning of Pancasila to my fellow students, they only define Pancasila from the five values of it. Just that, added Seno.
The student of Class XI also said that students nowadays are too easy to follow slogans. The great influence of social media makes them expect acknowledgement from their social media status. They act like they have great nationalism, but in reality they show nothing.
The student of SMAN 5 Surabaya quoted Soekarno檚 speech ..we are not united as a nation only for a decade, we will have this nation for thousands of decades, be a nation forever...
淭o be a nation for thousand of decades, the nation needs to be aware of the important values of Pancasila to be implemented in reality, not merely expectation, he added.
Meanwhile, Airlangga said that Pancasila as the way of life does not need to be memorized, but applied in daily lives. 淢any people shout NKRI as one and only nation, but in the practice, when there are get-togethers to work in the neighborhoods, they rarely come, he said.
In Moh.Hatta room, the seminar moderated by a lecturer of Anthropology UNAIR Dr. Muhhamad Adib, M.Si also ran well. The speaker, Drs. Bambang Budiono, M.Sosio. also stated that position of Pancasila in Indonesia is like a denominator in Math檚 fraction.
淲hatever the numbers, will never be added if the denominator is not the same. That is Indonesia. However great the vision and missions of the nation, if the people cannot unite, it will never be a reality. Pancasila can unite them, explain Bambang.
In the end of the presentation, to the youth, especially college students, he said that the spirit of Pancasila should be enlivened. They should not stop at asking whether it is expectation or reality.
淪o let檚 apply the spirit of Pancasila in our lives. If we have done it, we do not have to disseminate Pancasila any longer. We just have to apply it in our lives. That檚 the most important, he concluded. (*)
