UNAIR NEWS –Learning Innovation and Certification Center of 51动漫 has held a community service with dozens of internship lecturers from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.The event entitled “Environmental Care” was held at Ecotourism Mangrove Surabaya, Friday, October 20.
After doing environmental care activity by clearing the Mangrove Ecotourism area from garbage, Yuni Sari Amalia, SS, MA., as the head of PIPS UNAIR said that this activity is a calling.For the women known better as Yuni, the cleanliness of the environment is important, especially the location of tourism and natural ecosystem place.
“Personally I do care about the environment, mainly related to waste.That is my concern when I see the 媼garbage here, ” she explained.
Although it was a simple activity, Yuni believed that the first activity held by PIPS with the internship lecturers was a small step towards a big impact.Yuni determined that in the future there will be similar movements that focus on environmental cleanliness.
“Although cleaning up the great heap of garbage demands collaboration with the wider society, this is our small step by inviting our internship lecturers so that this activity in the future can be a better movement,” she explained.
For the next plan, Yuni hoped that those lectures who study at UNAIR can apply various knowledge they gained from UNAIR including a sense of concern for the environment.Furthermore, Yuni also expected that one day the tourism agency can become create a community service tour to make the tourists concern and care for the environment.
“Despite the attention of the government, I hope more attention is given to areas like the mangrove area,”she said.
Yuni also wanted that similar activities could involve UNAIR lecturers and students.Furthermore, after the Friday prayers, Yuni with the group headed to the garbage bank in 媼Mangrove area in Gunung Anyar, Surabaya.
“We learn with one of the leading figures in the successful garbage bank movement and a national inspiration.Furthermore, our lecturers also teach to the children around the garbage bank, “explained Yuni.“It檚 related, we gained knowledge, we also share knowledge,” Yuni concluded.(*)
