Being Friends with Various Media Sources, FISIP UNAIR Students Enthusiastically Attend News Content Training

SURABAYA “ HUMAS | Collaborating with Kumparan, the Public Communication and Information Center (PKIP) of 51¶¯Âþ successfully held the News Content Training (NCT) event on Tuesday (February 21, 2023). The main topic discussed in this event was Multiplatform Journalism, where Ikhwanul Khabibi, the VP of Content Strategy & Innovation at Kumparan, was invited as a speaker. The event took place at Sriwijaya Hall, 5th floor of ASEEC Tower, and was attended by students from various faculties of 51¶¯Âþ.

Habibi began the discussion by presenting survey data regarding the shift in how people obtain information today. “We want to utilize all media platforms to present verified content. The content we deliver on each platform has gone through the same verification process,” stated Habibi. In addition to his statement, Habibi also added that the presence of multiplatform journalism can enhance the media’s ability to provide information. The presentation on Multiplatform Journalism received a positive response, as seen from the enthusiastic participation of many students who asked questions related to the topic.

In the final session, the event continued with the presentation of information regarding internship training in writing, design, and videography organized by PKIP UNAIR. One of them, Alfina, a 2021 Anthropology student from FISIP, expressed her desire to participate in the internship program discussed in the closing session. “The event was amazing, and I gained many insights today.
