Three students from the Class of 2019 of the Department of Public Administration of FISIP UNAIR received the Diamond Award in Student Invention, Innovation, & Technology Design Competition 2022 (SIITC 2022) which was held by Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) at October last month. They are Darmawan Tri Pangestu, Dyah Ayu Wiranti, and Muhammad Dzulfikar Al-Ghofiqi. During the event, their team underwent a process that started from creating an abstract to making the video and poster which then elaborates the innovation created by each team.

In this competition, the team raised a topic of 淕ov-Chain: Blockchain Technology Manifestation to Create Open Government Awareness regarding Transparency and Accountability of Government Financial Transactions in Indonesia. This innovation took shape in an app with the same name擥ov-Chain攂y using blockchain to prevent corruption in government. 淭he innovation took shape in an app that we call Gov-Chain with the purpose of preventing corruption taking place in government. We initiated the development of this app by utilizing blockchain, an advanced technology that is currently on the rise, said Darmawan.

Darmawan, as a representative of his team, said that he is very proud of this achievement. He said that this accomplishment can be achieved through the help of their lecturer/supervisor, Putu Aditya Febrian. 淲e won this competition through the help and supervision of Mr. Putu Aditya. We are happy and proud of this achievement, because this innovation is one of the ideas that may solve the current problems facing this country, said the student from the Department of Public Administration.

At the end of the interview, Darmawan hoped that their innovation can gain recognition and support from various stakeholders in order to be implemented in the Indonesian bureaucracy. He also said to fellow FISIP UNAIR students to hone their creativity and innovation through participating in various competitions. 淚deas can come by observing our surroundings, so don檛 be hesitant to start, and most importantly, always pray to God for the best results, he finished (SA).
