SURABAYA “ HUMAS | On Tuesday (29 November 2022), a regular FISIP UNAIR talk show session with @Mercury FM was held again in the 13th edition, with the topic “Getting to Know Closer to the Doctoral Program Study of Social Sciences FISIP UNAIR”. The talk show, which was held live on Radio Mercury Surabaya, started at 13.00 “ 14.00 WIB.
This time the resource person presented was Dr. phil. Toetik Koesbardiati, who is the Head of Social Sciences Doctoral Coordinator. She explained that Social Sciences at FISIP UNAIR has seven specializations such as: public administration, politic science, sociology, anthropology, communication media, library science, and also international relations. In Indonesia alone there are only seven Social Sciences doctoral study programs, so this doctoral study is rare.
UNAIR FISIP Social Sciences Doctoral Program has another uniqueness, namely having two procedures in its study, by course and by research, both of which must be completed within three years. By course is similar to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in general, while by research students must have prepared research and study plans for these three years.
A separate note was conveyed by the Coordinator, who is familiarly called Bu Tok, that anyone can enroll in Doctoral Program of Social Sciences. Students who come from non-social backgrounds can register, by following the matriculation process first. This study program, which was founded in 1993, has produced 288 doctorates, with guidance from approximately 30 qualified lecturers (RSP).
This news reflects the 4th program of SDGs, Quality Education.
