It plays an important role in explaining the mechanism of drug action.Medicinal chemistry, he explained, works for drug development such as to develop new drugs with better activity such as minimal side effects, more selective work, and longer effectiveness.

“Indonesia can improve the role of medicinal chemistry in drug development because it has many advantages. One of them, numerous active compounds that can be obtained from nature, semi synthesis and synthesis, “said Suko.

Finally, the last oration was delivered by Prof.Ahmad Fuad.Through an oration entitled “Revealing the Diversity of Chemical Content and Bioactivity in Natural Medicine” the 22nd active Professor of Faculty of Pharmacy stated that Indonesia was blessed by Allah SWT as the second country with most natural diversity in the world. Therefore, Prof. Fuad, is certain that Indonesia has resources of natural ingredients beneficial for the treatment of diseases in large quantities.
