UNAIR NEWS –The researcher team of Dermatology and Venereology Department Faculty of Medicine 51动漫 (UNAIR) RSUD. Dr. Soetomo (Dr. Soetomo Hospital) and Stem Cell Research Center currently designing rejuvenation serum as stem cell in which use Metabolite Products from Amnion.
In the process, they improve the formulation to produce tropical product for safety and high quality rejuvenation.
One of the researchers, Dr. dr Cita Rosita Sigit Prakoeswa, Sp. KK (K), FINSDV, FAADV, explained that metabolite is the stem cell product. After been observed, these ingredients contain elements of growth factor that serves to regenerate skin cells.
“The procedure begins starts with amnion membrane material and then isolates those and stem cell cultures in the laboratory, in which the cells will produce metabolite ingredients that rich in various growth factors. This process can be repeated several times for supernatant removal. These metabolite materials will be utilized as the main ingredient of tropical product, “he explained.
Cita admitted that Stem Cell Product is more high quality than other metabolite product. However, the Stem Cell application is more difficult and more expensive. Based on that reason, the researcher attempted to simply the process, increase the capability and make the product safe to use.

Adding Vitamin
In order to improve the product feasibility of stem cell metabolite product from amnion, the researcher currently attempting to combine metabolite component with Vitamin C and C. The addition of these vitamins is to maximize the wound healing process and as an antioxidant.
According to her, the wound can lead to free radicals so it takes Vitamin C and E to prevent it.
淏y the deductive explorative theory, Addition of Vitamin C and E are able to provide as an antioxidant. In fact, our observation is still runs and sample is not maximal, due to less than 30 samples, she said
By the observation, Cita thought that the combination serum showed better result than uncombined metabolite products.
淲e will see the result. If the result show the better, so the product (combined serum) will be more developed, but if it has no result, it do not need to combine, She said
Currently, the trial of stem cell metabolite products has involved 30 samples. Meanwhile trials of Vitamin C and E combination still remain in process. Cita targeted trial process and research result will finish in the end of this year.
For the next, serum product will be registered to BPOM (National Agency of Drug and Food Control). After this product registered in BPOM, it will distribute to marketplace.
淗opefully, next year this serum can be available in marketplaces. For this year we are focusing on the research first. Then publication, and also register the product to BPOM and establish partnership with industry, hopefully it come true soon, She said
Cita stated that she and her team did not find some allergic risks during product trials.
