Standardize Gymnastics Moves for The Sake of Everybody檚 Health

UNAIR NEWS If you are in 51动漫 academic community or villagers from the neighboring campus, you must be familiar with mass-gymnastics which is usually held every Friday morning at UNAIR. The program is a call from the management to use Friday as an exercise day, whether jogging around the lake or mass gymnastics. At least there are some spots which are used for mass gymnastics: first, next to UNAIR managementbuilding, in front of MasterManagement campus B, and some spots in some faculties.

Of all the various spots, each has its own moves and duration. For this reason, to standardize gymnastics moves UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih suggested there were gymnastics moves with more advantages, especially to someone檚 health and which can be done by all walk of ages.

淪tandardize the moves, stop using different styles. This way, the participants will be able to memorize the moves and they feel more energetic, explained Prof. Nasih when witnessing the making of mass-gymnastics video.

Met right after the video making, Dra. Sedianingsih, SE., M.Si., Ak., who was assigned to invent new moves explained that they have long planned the video making. The aim was also vary, apart from uniformity and easiness to remember, the gymnastics she was working on would be suitable for all ages.

淭here are 7 series of warm-up moves, while in the core moves there are 8. It檚 quite long, long enough to make you perspire. If you have only 4 moves you檙e gonna get bored and it檚 too few. Moreover, the new moves are very good for our health, she explained.

Concerning the name, Sedianingsih who is also head of D3 Secretarial and Office Management program explained that there were two kinds of gymnastics, namely Airlangga Fitness Gymnastics with rapid moves and Creation Gymnastics with more relaxing moves.

淭he moves in these gymnastics represent various ages, that檚 why in the video making we also involve university students for young audience, lecturer for older audience, and me myself for old generation, she explained.
