Students Ready to Serve through 57th KKN-BBM

UNAIR NEWS– The 57th Community Service Program – Learning Together with the Community (KKN-BBM) was not sent off simultaneously at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC).A ceremony was done involving the village and sub-district coordinators in the Kahuripan Hall, Campus C UNAIR.

There were 250 coordinators attending on Friday, December 15. Onthatoccasion, Head of Institute for Community Service (LPM) UNAIR Prof.Dr.H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs.,., in his speech affirmed that the ceremony which only involved the village and subdistrict coordinators was considered more effective as the role of both village and sub-district coordinator can be played at best.

“We only invites the coordinators.The goal was optimizing the role and function of the coordinators, “he explained.

Furthermore, Prof.Jusuf stated that the various programs ofthis thematic KKN-BBM has been mapped by the previous program. Therefore, Prof.Jusuf asserted that the 57th batch should coordinate well, especially to the local community.

“Please coordinate well to the community who have done various programs with the 56th batch. The 57th batch in the future should also develop various programs that can be continued by next generation,” explained the professor of FISIP UNAIR.

Vice Rector III Prof.Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D., in his speech stated that Thematic KKN-BBM was the student’s most beautiful moment during their studies because, for the professor, KKN is a best time to blend in the community.

“Because, this is a valuable opportunity to blend in the community and the realize your innovation and your ideas,” Prof.Amin said.

Related to UNAIR steps to become world™s Top 500 universities, Prof.Amin reiterated that students™ contribution is also a significant.Community service such as KKN, according to Prof.Amin, is an effort to implement the scientific role of university to the community.

“So, your contribution in KKN will also determine the good reputation of alma mater.If you™re not serious, it’s useless, ” he added.

At the end, Prof.Amin invited all students to always be grateful.He emphasized this by showing the number of Indonesians who have had higher education only 20 percent.

“The opportunity to be a student is a wonderful blessing.Therefore, you are lucky and should use it as well as possible, ” he concluded.(*)
