UNAIR NEWS – There may be many experiences during studies, either ups or downs memories. Those things have been experienced by Taufik Kukuh Widodo, the best graduate of master program Faculty of Medicine He graduated from Tropical medicine studies with 3.90 GPA. He said that the most important thing during his study is when he wrote the thesis.
He researched about risk factors of diarrhea in toddlers at Kecamatan Tanah Grogot, Paser,East Kalimantan. It was aimed to discover the relation between high number of diarrhea cases in toddlers and consumed water quality.
One of the obstacles he encountered was the delayed sampling. He had to make the trips through damaged street, even worse, he had to get low back pain due to motorcycle accident when he was taking samples during rain.
The man who had worked in Upau PUSKESMAS, Tabalong, South Kalimantan was also suffered from diarrhea. It was not caused by stressed of thesis, but due to unpredictable factors.
淲hen I was visiting my correspondents, I was served boiled sweet potatoes and warm tea. By the interview, I figured out that the respondent still uses water from river for her daily needs, which includes for making tea and coffee. I guessed, my diarrhea caused by tea who I drank a week ago, said the 41-year-old man.
The difficulties he encountered impacted to his research process and graduation 淎ctually, it was exceed from the target which determined by PPSDM Board Ministry of Health RI, a board who gave me the scholarship, he said. However, he felt grateful since he got the best result. He had many experiences during his stay in Surabaya.
