UNAIR NEWS –After the planning and cooperation process in early 2016 between 51动漫 and PT.Galasari Gunung Sejahtera as a subsidiary of PT.Palawija to establish an education area in North Gresik, Teaching Farm Groundbreaking conducted on Wednesday, August 8, marked the construction of Campus E UNAIR.
Teaching Farm Groundbreaking Campus E located in Panceng, Gresik, was attended by the leaders of UNAIR and PT.Galasari Gunung Sejahtera and Perhutani.In his speech, UNAIR Rector represented by Vice Rector IV Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M. Kes., Ph.D., said that UNAIR always strives to develop at national and international arena.The achievement will appear on the campus environment, such as in academic and research achievements.
“Therefore, as an effort to develop a university that can be present in the community, UNAIR with various parties develop campuses that bring positive impacts to the community,” he explained
Teaching Farm Groundbreaking which was the beginning of UNAIR Campus E construction was one of the forms of campus development that could be present in the community.
“Campus E will be supported by the Agricultural Technology Park as a form of commitment of collaboration between UNAIR and PT.Galasari Gunung Sejahtera for mutual benefit, “he added.
Junaidi said that the teaching farm will be built on 5.2 hectares of land.The Teaching Farm area is built first.In the future, an education forest could be developed and the campus area will reach 100 hectares.
“Because it carries education forest concept, the buildings to be built will never be more than 10% of the forest,” he said.
Before closing the speech, Junaidi emphasized that a university does not have to be in the same area.The most important thing is connectivity.Meanwhile, as a representative of PT.Galasari Gunung Sejahtera Rizal Suryanto said that the plan to establish Campus E was begun from the condition of the vast land with small community.
“Therefore, we encourage the government to build the infrastructure.One of them is the construction of water reservoirs which is in the process of development, “he explained.
In his opinion, water will bring life and the community can be encouraged with the Education Technology Park development.He also expected the presence of academics at the location to develop the North Gresik region.
“That is why we involve UNAIR to participate in this community service process,” he said.
The Head of Perhutani East Java Endung Tri Handaka said that Perhutani always puts forward economic, social and geographic aspects.According to him, for a vast area, the fence should be the welfare of the people.
“We warmly welcome this idea and are ready to fully support it if it is all aimed for the welfare of the community,” he concluded.
UNAIR has 3 main campuses in Surabaya, A, B and C campus. There are 4 hospitals in the main campus and a Health Technology Park will be designed.Then, UNAIR also has campus D in the Mount Penanggungan area as a form of retracing the history of King Airlangga. UNAIR also has a Off Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) in Banyuwangi and two Nursing D3 programs in Gresik and Lamongan.
