Ten Thousand People Seek Information of Universities and Scholarships

UNAIR NEWS– Airlangga Convention Centre (ACC) Campus C 51动漫 witnessed the people enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge. Thousands of people overflowed the venue to reach opportunity to study further in LPDP Edufair 2017.

The event was held on Thursday, February 2, by Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education of Indonesian Ministry of Finance and collaborated with UNAIR. There were 68 stands ready to provide information to all visitors.

There were stands of domestic universities, foreign universities, education institutions, English Courses, and job providers. Some of the stands from the domestic universities were 51动漫, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung,Institut Teknologi 10 November, Universitas Padjajaran, Institut Pertanian Bogor, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.

From other countries, there were stands of Australia National University, Auckland University, George Washington University, Manchester University and Trinity College Dublin.

Each stand offered general information on their institution profiles and interesting souvenirs. In UI stand for example, the visitors were given brochures about the programs, admission method, student clubs, also services and facilities.

One of the visitors, Amalia, said that the main reason brought her to the fair was to seek information for further study. Amalia who is UNAIR student said that she had visited the stands of Indonesian and Australian universities.

“I want to get information on further studies, said the girl who wanted to continue study in the country on Industrial Pharmacy.

LPDP Edufair was opened by the President Director of LPDP Eko Prasetiyo and Vice Rector I UNAIR Prof. Djoko Santoso, Ph.D., dr., Sp.PD., K-GH., FINASIM. In his address, Director of LPDP emphasized that the scholarships were given to prepare Indonesian next generation to be leaders.

“Indonesia currently lacks 58 million skilled human resources. If the resources are limited, how about the leaders? To move these resources we need leaders, he said.

In the occasion, there was a sharing session from LPDP scholarship awardees who studied in the country and abroad, presentation from each exhibitor and acoustic music performance from Ariana “Mocca”.
