UNAIR NEWS One of the questions often comes up during UNAIR student admission discussion out of town is about tuition fee. In SNMPTN and SBMPTN 2017 promotion, one of the teachers asked a question.
“What if the student has a good marks in the first semester but fluctuates in the next, and they are financially challenged? he asked.
Answeriing the question, the speaker from Student Admission Center (PPMB) UNAIR Taufik, S.T., M.Kom., said that the tuition fee depends on single tuition fee (UKT). In state universities, including UNAIR, tuition fee is categorized in six different groups. The amount of UKT in each group is based on the parents and the program capability. In UNAIR, UKT sixth group is Bidikmisi recipients.
“For the poor, there are still opportunity for excellent students to apply for Bidikmisi scholarship,” said Taufik. This year, UKT amount in UNAIR has not been determined by Rector.
In 2017, school and student registration for Bidikmisi starts on January 14. SNMPTN starts from Februari 18 to March 6, 2017 while SBMPTN process starts from April 8 to May 5, 2017.
When they succeed in SNMPTN/SBMPTN, the documents attached by the Bidikmisi recipients will be verified. The secretary of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR Dr. Bimo Aksono, drh., M.Kes., who was also present in the promotional event said that the verification is done to prevent misdirection in giving the scholarship. In the verification process, survey team will visit the recipient candidate who is capable financially.
淯NAIR will not make mistake as we will verify and see the real condition. If the house is remote, we will still go there.During survey we will invite the local official (RT/RW) so the data is valid, said Bimo.
Then, what if the parents do not have fixed income? Bimo said that Bidikmisi recipients are students whose parents get only Rp 3 million at most, or if it is divided for the number of the people in the family, each person gets Rp 750 at max.
The documents they need to include for registration is their school certificate from the headmaster, a copy of their report from the first to the sixth semester and legalized, a copy of legalized certificate, a copy of legalized national exam, certificate telling the students excellent achievements in class and its supporting legalized proof, also Kartu Indonesia Pintar card, poor student scholarship or others.
For them who have not met the requirements, there should be a certificate showing their financial difficulty signed by local officials, a copy of family certificate, a copy of the last electricity bill (if available), and a proof of PBB payment if they have it. (*)
