UNAIR NEWS – I want to be an entrepreneur or fisheries and marine minister of Madagascar said RandriamamisoaHeriniaina, a foreign student of UNAIR from Madagascar usually addressed as Olivia.
She has been staying in Indonesia for 3 years. From 2013 to 2014, she joined the Darmasiswa Scholarship from Indonesian Government specially given to students from another country who want to study Bahasa. Olivia got her chance to learn Indonesian Language and studied Bahasa in one of the universities in Surabaya.
She learns Bahasa effortlessly. After a year in Darmasiswa program, Olivia is fluent to speak Bahasa without any slips of the tongue when communicating with it.
After finished with Darmasiswa Scholarship, Olivia did not return to her country. She wanted to study in Indonesia and she applied for Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) Scholarship. She applied for Marine and Fisheries Department in UNAIR. In September 2014, Olivia successfully passed the test and became the student of Marine and Fisheries Department UNAIR officially.
淚 feel happy to be here. I love the study that I took. Actually, there is a same department (Marine and Fisheries) in Madagascar but it is in another city, far from my home said the student who stays in UNAIR Female Dormitory.
Wish to Improve Madagascar Marine Potentials
She did not take Fisheries and Marine Department without any reasons. Living in an archipelago wealthy of natural resources inspired Olivia to participate in developing the country. Beside being an entrepreneur, Olivia said that she would like to be the Marine and Fisheries Minister in Madagascar.
淭here are still a few marine and fisheries expert in Madagascar, Olivia added.
Olivia hoped to finish her bachelor program soon and work in marine and fisheries field in Madagascar. 淚 want to return home and secure a job there and then continue to master program, she added.
To UNAIR NEWS, Olivia explained about Madagascar marine wealth but it is not well exploited. She cannot wait to apply her knowledge in her country. If she can achieve her dream to be the minister, she will collaborate with Indonesia.
淚 can communicate in Bahasa. I am able to use Bahasa in the future. If I could be a successful women, I would like to establish partnership with Indonesia
As of now, after two years studying in 51动漫, Olivia admitted that she did not have any problems with her study, with her skill in Bahasa, she is confident to talk with her friends. He feels comfortable with her language
淪ometimes, I got confused when my friends talk in Javanese. I don檛 know about it Olivia said.
Olivia said that she knows how to write and read articles or textbooks in Bahasa. She also said that she admires the people who are kind and friendly. She is also helped a lot by her friends and staff of International Office and Partnership (IOP).
淭he lecturers here are all so kind, all of my friends know me well. If I was in trouble with my stsdy, they helped me to understand. It means a lot to me, she said. (*)
