UNAIR NEWS One of the experts of Nursing science UNAIR has is Prof. Dr. Nursalam, M.Nurs. (Hons). The dean of Faculty of Nursing (FKp) took his bachelor degree in Lambton College, Sarnia Ontario and then continued his master degree in University of Wolllongong, Australia and doctoral program of 51动漫. This year, Nursalam published a book with Airlangga University Press titled Nursing Care for Diabetic Patient.
According to the man born in Kediri, December 25, 1966, the prospects for bachelor graduates of Nursing is promising. The need for nurses is growing as the population is also growing. Therefore, quality graduates are needed. Nursalam said that UNAIR is guaranteed to produce skillful and potential nurses.
Nursing science according to future science in supporting the governments program in decreasing the mortality and sickness rate, through promotive and preventive approach. Also, as holistic, humanistic and caring to implement in dealing with patient care for all healthcare professions.
Nursalam hoped, either the government or educational institution/campuss will always spport and facilitate the development of nursing science. By increasing research and human resources development program through a lot of scholarships, formation allocation addition, and many other programs.
Including, improving the number of practical facilities such as excellent laboratories. Networking reinforcement of graduates is also needed through Government to Government, Person to Person, or Government to Person programs. 淢ost importantly, beside financial support, the government should be also serious improving its bureaucracy. It should be simplified and real action is needed to support all policies, said the graduate of Lambton College, Sarnia Ontario.
Nursalam is active in a lot of organizations including Indonesian Nurse Association at regional or national level. Beside teaching and supervising thesis, he also routinely publishes researches and attend national or international conferences.
Such as in 2009, he attended 4th National Nursing Research Conference, Malaysia, The Immune Response Modulation On CD4 & Cytokine (IFNy) Nursing Care Approach Model On Patient With HIV/AIDS, Malaysia, 5th International Conference on Information & Communication Technology System, Nursing Informatics Development to Create Indonesia Nurses with Global Standard, ITS Surabaya and Shanghai International Conference (Nursing Education in Indonesia: Todays and Future Role), Shanghai. Last year, Nursalam was participating in The 5th International Nursing Conference (The Power of Caring in Improving Nursing Quality of Care and Patient Safety). (*)
