UNAIR NEWS “There are three programs in Faculty of Vocational Studies, 51¶¯Âþ have just been accredited A from National Accreditation Board “ Higher Education (BAN “ PT). The accreditation is valid until November 24, 2021.
Three programs which have just accredited A are D-3 Tourism, D-3 Library Technician, and D-3 Hotel management. Their accreditations have improved from B Accreditation. It was disclosed by Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies, Dr. Widi Hidayat, S.E., M.Si., Ak, on Wednesday, December 12.
œThey have improved their accreditation from B. To get to A, accreditation, we in Faculty of Vocational Studies had worked very hard. We learned a lot from others accredited before us, said Widi.
Widi explained that his unit has communicated with UNAIR lecturers with good experience in accreditation. The faculty asked for some suggestion to improve the programs in the future. He even asked them to run a simulation of the accreditation process.
œIt™s like preparing for a test, there™s some tutoring for it. So our colleagues in other faculties or programs really helped us, said the Dean of Faculty of Vocational Studies.
He admitted that the preparation was made for three months In three months, he prepared all the necessary requirements including for the simulation intensively.
Related to other programs in the faculty, an expert included in œ100 Experts of UNAIR expected every program to conduct benchmarking.
œFind the suitable benchmarking. For example, Physiotherapy look at the standards of Avans Hodge School in Holland as benchmark as they are really advanced. The point is we learned from others, he said. (*)
