UNAIR NEWS “On November 2, Special Hospital for Infectious Disease “ which became Tropical Infectious Disease Hospital (RSPTI) 51¶¯Âþ will officially operate. Later on it will be part of UNAIR Hospital Installation.
It was stated by UNAIR Hospital Director, Prof. Dr. Nasronudin, dr., Sp.PD., K-PTI, after the opening and inauguration of œUNAIR Hospital Blood Bank and RS PTI Operational as UNAIR Hospital Instalation, on Thursday, October 27. According to Prof. Nasron, the name became RS PTI to adjust with the government™s regulation and rector™s decree.
In less than seven days, the tropical infectious disease installation will be fully operational for public. From Friday, October 28, Prof. Nasron has made some preparations to support hospital operational.
Various preparations related to services will be transferred from UNAIR Hospital to special installation of tropical infectious disease. On the first floor, there will be basic medical clinic, and a mortuary special for infectious diseases. On the second floor, there will be polyclinic of infectious disease, lungs, geriatrics, dental and medical check-up unit. The third floor will be for laboratories, clinical pathology, microbiology and anatomical pathology. The rest will be prepared in the following months.
œFourth and fifth floor will be managed following months. We have prepared first and third floor first. There will be an office of Teaching Hospital Coorinating Committee (Komkordik), said Prof. Nasron.
Regarding the human resources preparation, he wanted to optimize the existing staff and doctors. Director of UNAIR Hospital stated that he did not want to increase human resources this year.
The professor of Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNAIR also stated his wish to improve the quality of the staff, especially the doctors.
œWe™ll build a good system, we™ll send the young doctors to be specialists. The specialists should also become subspecialists, doctors and professors. We hope that UNAIR Hospital can be like a teaching hospital in other countries, advanced and excellent, said the professor of FK UNAIR. (*)
