±«±·´¡±õ¸éÌý±··¡°Â³§“ 51¶¯Âþ academic community mourned for the passing of Faculty of Medicine, 51¶¯Âþ professors, Prof.Pramonohadi Prabowo Sp.JP (K) from the field of cardiology and Prof.H Heru Santoso Sp.OG (K) from the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Before being escorted to the cemetery, there was a memorial service at 09.00 am, in the Hall of Grabik Building IPTEKDOK FK , Wednesday, May 30.Hundreds of mourners crowded the Hall and witnessed the procession.
Losing two professors at the same time brought deep sorrow for UNAIR academic community as both have major contributions in the development of medical science.
Prof.Pramonohadi died on Tuesday, May 29 at 16:53 pm at the Premier Surabaya Hospital.A day later Wednesday, May 30, Prof.H Heru Santoso Sp.OG (K) died at 00.02 am at RS Darmo Surabaya.
Prof Pramono and Prof Heru were two inspirational teacher figures.At least this is described by the head of Integrated Heart Service Center (PPJT) Prof.dr.Mohammad Yogiarto, Sp., JP (K) FIHA.Prof. Yogi knew Prof Pramono as a simple, quiet, but serious and conscientious colleague.
“He was a good teacher, always provides reasoning in analyzing things very carefully, “he recalled.
In his lifetime, Prof Pramono pioneered the implementation of cardiology training for cardiac catheterization intervention for the first time.In order to master the technique, Prof Pramono studied diagnostic techniques of treatments and surgeries to the UK with several other colleagues from pediatric surgery, radiology, and anesthesiology.
They learned to open heartin RSUD Dr.Soetomo in 1975. At that time, there were not many experts in that field.However, Prof Pramono had high spirit to develop the skill until he passed away.
“The birth of PPJT RSUD Dr.Soetomo also can not be separated from the role of Prof.Pramono, “he said.
The late Prof.Heru was also an inspirational teacher.It was conveyed by Vice Dean II FK UNAIR Prof.Dr.dr.Budi Santoso SpOG (K).According to him, Prof. Heru was known as a religious figure and a hardworking type.
“Most of his time was for service.He was famous to open practice until 3 am, and went home at dawn.Then at 7 am met the patients at RSUD Dr Soetomo and several other hospitals.He had an amazing skill, “he recalled.
Prof. Heru is one of obgyn doctors of oncology field, related to cancer and tumor which is quite popular in Surabaya.Amidst the hectic schedule of practice, Prof. Heru remained dedicated to teach students.This is in accordance with Prof Budi’s experience when he became a student of Prof. Heru.
“In surgery activities, Prof. Heru was always accompanied by prospective obstetricians.On that occasion, he shared his knowledge during surgeries.That’s where skill transfer takes place, he taught the correct surgery technique and tricks, ” he recalled.(*)
