UNAIR Banyuwangi Students Attend Social Media for Social Good Workshop

UNAIR NEWS To expand the knowledge and relations, there were at least 20 participants from 51 PSDKU (Off Main Office Study Center) in Banyuwangi in‘Social Media for Social Good’workshop held by U.S. Embassy in Indonesia on Sunday, May 21 in Banyuwangi.

According to Guardit Singh,Deputy Press Atache of United States EmbassyJakarta, through this activity, he wanted to encourage youth to spread goodness through social media.

Banyuwangi is the third town chosen by U.S. Embassy after Pontianak and Palembang. This activity will continue in Maumere, Ambon, Batam, and Gorontalo. In Banyuwangi, it was held for two days, Saturday, May 20 and Sunday May 21. It was held in the auditorium of 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) Banyuwangi.

Derry Candra, a student of Veterinary Medicine undergraduate program PSDKU 51 in Banyuwangi said that it was a great activity. It encouraged the youth to be wise in using the social media, taught and spread goodness through social media.

Furthermore, we are also invited to love the environment through Greeneration FoundationandSeasoldierBanyuwangi, learn making blog and vlog with the experts, he said. (*)
