UNAIR NEWS Institute of Research and Innovation (LPI) 51动漫 held a workshop scientific publication in a form of popular scientific writing. The workshop was held on Wednesday, April 26 and attended by at least 75 researchers or lecturers in UNAIR.
In the workshop, LPI invited two speakers from national mass media, Media Indonesia editor Sitria Hamid and Republika editor Irfan Junaidi. Both presented tips on how to publish works in mass media and how to pick an interesting angle and topic to write as popular scientific article.
The secretary of LPI Dr. Ir. Sri Hidanah, M.S said that the event was a part of workshop series which was also held on April 7. In the previous workshop, the lecturers received tips from Jawa Pos editor.
After the workshop, UNAIR lecturers are interested to write to improve the quality and quantity of their popular scientific writing in mass media.
淲e think that if there are more authors from UNAIR in mass media, it will improve the reputation of UNAIR positively, said Sri Hidanah.
Through the workshop, at least, there is communication between UNAIR and editors of the mass media. The workshop is also a place for lecturers to consult their ideas to write.
They are lecturers from various field of study who are ready to write on the latest topic trending in national media.
淭he target of this workshop is to inspire new authors to write in mass media in various topics, said Sri Hidanah.
Sri Hidanah added, UNAIR commitment to support the lecturers to write is also in the form of rewards. Besides getting rewards from the media, UNAIR will also reward the lecturers whose piece of scientific writing published in national mass media.
淭he management has a target for the lecturers to write in newspapers. It is a proof that UNAIR always rewards its authors. The more they write the better reputation UNAIR gain, added Sri Hidanah. (*)
