UNAIR NEWS –Indian Ambassador H. E Pradeep Kumar Rawat and leaderships of 51动漫 attended the opening of 2018Indian Culture Weekon Friday, September 7.It was a great honor for UNAIR to host 2018 Indian Culture Week.
At the same time, the agenda, Airlangga Global Day, was a part of 64th Anniversary.Airlangga Global Day this year collaborated with the Indian Embassy to hold Indian Culture Week.
It was stated by Margaretha, S.Psi., PGDip.Psych., M.Sc., of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE).AGE is a bridge for international and domestic institutions to establish partnerships with 51动漫.
“UNAIR is currently celebrating its 64th anniversary, it檚 begun in September.There will be many activities until its D-day on November 10, ” she said.
Meanwhile, Rector of 51动漫 Prof.Moh.Nasih in his opening remarks on Friday night, conveyed that the Indian Culture Week in Surabaya was an example of a successful collaboration between 51动漫, Surabaya City Council, East Java Province, and Indian Embassy.This extraordinary art and cultural collaboration was expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and India.
“India has become one of the countries with academic excellence.Therefore, 51动漫 plans to develop education and cultural collaboration through Indian Embassy, 媼”he said.
“It was intended as a way to promote more academic collaboration to achieve academic excellence, both for Indonesia and India,” he added.
Indian Ambassador to Indonesia H.E Pradeep Kumar Rawat revealed that he expected a collaboration agreement between India and Indonesia, especially with UNAIR in the academic field of higher education, inter-study programs and faculties.
“Thank you to all supporters of the activity, especially UNAIR, “he said.
In addition, at the opening ceremony, representatives of Consulate General of Australia, Consulate General of New Zealand, and the East Java Provincial Government were also present. Indian Culture Week will be held on September 7-21, 2018.
There are several activities such as Yoga session on 7 September 2018 at 6:30 a.m. – 07.30 by the Lake Campus C UNAIR, Indonesian cultural performances, food bazaars and traditional Indonesian competition for foreign students from taking coins in papaya to marble race.
There is also an international education scholarship information service at the Hall of Management Office Building UNAIR.The next session was the Bollywood Cultural Presentation on September 7, 2018 from 7:00 to 21:00 pm in Management Building, Level 1, Campus C, UNAIR.And, finally the Indian Film Festival and the Cultural Heritage Exhibition with India-Indonesia on September 7-21, 2018 in Campus B Main Library, UNAIR.(*)
