UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 was chosen to host Rembuk Nasional 2017 (2017 National Forum). An event titled as 淐yber Resilience : Protecting Data Management and National Information Dissemination was held in Amerta Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR on Friday, September 22.
UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., was present with some other officials in UNAIR. In his speech, Prof. Nasih said that through the national forum, discussing the cyber theme, it can give a breakthrough and solution in for problems recently happening in social media.
淲e understand technology was created for the prosperity of human. This must be maintained. Don檛 let the technology pose a problem, said Nasih.
Nasih also added that the technological development should be used for people prosperity, not for insulting or killing characters. He admitted that this development is inevitable.
淒on檛 let us be controlled by technology because we are not ready, he stated.
Then, a member of the steering committee of 2017 National Forum, Police Major General (Ret) Drs. Sidarto Danusubroto, S.H. said that this event is held in 16 universities all around Indonesia. UNAIR was the third university.
The universities chosen to host are considered to be able to give inputs to solve the problems faced by the state.
淲hy in universities and in regions? The government wants to get inputs from regional academics to improve the administration in the future, he explained.
Regarding the theme, Sidarto said that it was under the spotlight as there are more and more problems happening on fake news with Tribe, Religion, Race and Group sentiments (SARA).
淗ow can this country be a big country if it has to face and deal such problems? Let us build a democracy free from hoaxes and SARA issues, so we can have a decent and honored nation, he explained.
Agreeing Sidarto檚 statement, Head of the Field 12 National Forum, Kartika Dyah Rini disappointed to the nation as it still has not achieved sovereignty in cyber space. Though the event, she expected inputs and solutions from the experts as there are more hoaxes in the public and they have difficulty to identify the true from the fake ones.
淚t is our big task to protect the people in cyber space. It is very important to achieve sovereignty in it, she added. (*)
