UNAIR Staff Exchange in Malaysia

UNAIR NEWS– In order to enrich the experience as well as improve staff ability, the Directorate of Human Resources of 51动漫 (UNAIR) provides an apprenticeship program for the educational staff.From 3 to 7 December 2017, there were 16 UNAIR staffs attended thestaff exchangeprogramat Management Science University (MSU) Malaysia.

The program titled “Training of Trainers: Roles of Adminstration Staff in Internationalizing Higher Education Institution” for four days was followed by the staffs from various units at UNAIR.They were from Planning and Development Board (BPP), Directorate of Student Affairs, Faculty of Law, Information and Public Relations Center, Directorate of Human Resources, PPJPI (Center of Journal Development and Scientific Publication), Directorate of Finance, Internal Supervisory Board, University Secretary, Airlangga University Press ( AUP), the Faculty of Economics and Business, and the Library.

At MSU, the UNAIRstaff shared their experience at work from each unit.They visited library,student and career development,international office, MSU Product Briefing.The staffs were also invited to MSU campus tour.

Thestaff exchangeparticipants were welcomed by the Dean of International for Halal Studies MSU.On the occasion, the dean stated that thestaff exchangewas the first time collaborative program conducted between MSU and UNAIR.

“This is the first program MSU receives forstaff exchange.And, this is the first experience for both MSU and UNAIR, “said the Dean.

Head of Subdirectorate of Human Resources Development, Fadli Ama, S.T., M.T., revealed thatthe staff exchangewas aimed to provide knowledge to the staff on how to provide excellent service tostakeholders including changingmindsetsthat work must be accompanied with high creativity.

“HopefullyUNAIR’s selectedstaffscan be viruses in their respective working environment.So, there will be positive work culture that can affect the overall work environment, “said Fadli.

Tri Suksmono Asung Raharjo, the chosen staff from FH, stated that the knowledge gained from the program was very useful to be applied in his workplace.

“We gain new knowledge, motivation, and spirit which can be applied in workplace by adjusting working conditions.In the future, this program must be done again with different participants and in different universities with better competence in the field, ” he said.

Meanwhile,a staff from PIH Anindya Anandita acknowledged that the program was very beneficial for both parties, especially UNAIR.Because, through the program, UNAIR staffs could learn good lessons that can be applied in each unit where they work.

“Interestingly, in the MSU library, there isQR codeon every book.So, every student who has a readerapplication can see thesummaryand the table of contents through this application, ” said Anin.

In addition, Anin noticed that there was very efficient number of staffs.In the library, for example.There were only ten librarians owned by MSU when there were eight faculties and 150 majors.So eachlibrarianhandles two faculties.(*)
