Institute of Community Service (LPM) UNAIR re-launched new programs at the 58th Thematic Community Service Program – Learning Together with the Community (KKN-BBM) .One of them is KKN Citarum Harum program.
In this matter, the Head of LPM UNAIR Prof.Dr.H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs.,., said that UNAIR should be involved in dealing with various national issues.One of the problems has occurred in the Citarum River.
According to him, KKN Citarum Harum program was an idea from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) involving universities in West Java and DKI Jakarta.
“UNAIR became one of the universities outside West Java and Jakarta who joined in this program,” he said during KKN Thematic Citarum Harum briefing in front of the students.
On the briefing held in the Hall of Kahuripan Campus C UNAIR on Sunday, May 27, Prof.Jusuf also said that the 297-kilometer river problem also affected Jakarta.Thus, LPM will mobilize students from West Java to participate in fixing the problems in the area.
“So far we have reached various regions in eastern Indonesia, it is time we reach various areas of western Indonesia,” he said.
At the end, regarding the number of students involved in the program, Professor of FISIP UNAIR said that there are about 40 students who will be involved in the program.
