UNAIR NEWS– In an effort to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor and 51动漫 () signed amemorandum of understanding(MoU) on Wednesday, March 7.Being held in Plenary Session Room, 3rd Floor, Campus C Management Building, the signing was witnessed by the leadership of both universities.There were Vice Rector III UNAIR Prof.Ir.Moch.Amin Alamsjah M.Si., Ph.D., andUNAIRSecretaryDrs.Koko Srimulyo, M.Si from UNAIR.
In the agreement, there were six fields agreed on,institutional, educational, scientific activities, community service, research and publication of scientific papers, as well as seminars or workshops.
In his speech, Rector UNIDA Prof.Dr.Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi, M.A., stated that initially, UNIDA was an Islamic institution so it only had a faculty on Islamic studies.Now UNIDA has a general faculty.In total, there are seven faculties, both religious and public, and one postgraduate program.
“Religious, there is ushuludin and sharia.There are also faculty of science and technology, economics and management, humanities, education, and health, “he said.“There is also a postgraduate, the department of Islamic theology and the Arabic Education,” he added.
“It (the MoU form, ed) can be collaborative research, guest lectures, collaboration seminars or workshops, to the collaboration of community service.We (UNIDA) are very open to invite UNAIR Rector and other officials to Gontor, “he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector I Prof.dr.Djoko Santoso, Ph.D., K-GH., FINASIM., on behalf of UNAIR Rector welcomed well the MoU.The MoU according to him was one form of breakthrough that is expected to advance the institution of higher education in Indonesia.
“Regarding this MoU, historically, UNAIR also came from the Institute of Medical education (health, ed).This can be reinforced later.And, Gontor is one of the oldest educational institutions in Indonesia, “he said.“It will be followed up and prepared.Prof.Amal can often stay in touch with our Rector, “he added.
In addition, according to Prof.Djoko, UNAIR has an obligation to support it especially to realize tri darma of higher education.In the future, he said, UNIDA is also expected to be a center ofexcellence.Not just in the religious field, but in the field of general science.
