UNAIR NEWS– As one of the leading state universities in eastern Indonesia, 51动漫 continues to make positive achievements even after 63 years.This was conveyed by the Rector of UNAIR Prof.Dr.Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., AK., CMA., in the 63rd UNAIR Dies Natalis Assemby on Friday, November 10.
“Togetherness and unified steps are the key to achieve them all.Thanks to all parties for their support so far, “he said.
Prof.Nasih said that UNAIR continues to make various improvements in all areas, especially in response to the challenge given by the government, to reach Top 500 WCU (world class university) in 2019. These areas included human resources (HR), education, facilities and infrastructure, and research.
In the HR sector, for example, the quality of educators continues to be improved.Based on data until the end of October 2017, there are 1,861 lecturers at UNAIR.The composition of education, master and doctorate (SP1 & SP2) reached 12 percent, doctorate (32 percent), master (48 percent), and S1 (2 percent).The target is, by 2020, the lecturers with S3 education will reach at least 52 percent.
Meanwhile, for educational staff, the composition includes 1085 civil servants, 7 permanent non-civil servants, 705 honorary and 768 contract staffs.
“Tonight the result of permanent non-civil servant employee selection from honorary staff will be announced.It was not about being accepted or not, but their positions are promoted or not yet.This is one form of our attention to the staff, “he said.
For the education sector, Nasih added that the accreditation of programs (Prodi) is also continuously improved.Based on data from the Directorate of Education UNAIR as of October 2017, there are 98 programs accredited A, 46 programs accredited B, and 2 programs accredited C.
UNAIR is also committed to international accreditation in order to be equal with universities overseas.Based on the data from Quality Assurance Board, there are 13 undergraduate programs which are ASEANUniversity Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certified with one program accredited Abest21, an international accreditation institute established in 2005.
As an effort to improve institutional capacity in management, especially international standards, UNAIR develops anISO 9001quality management system ofAirlangga Integrated Management System(AIMS);2015, IEA 2;2007, Malcolm Baldrige in December 2009.
Furthermore, in the field ofresearch, based on data inthe Scopus databaseand ISIThompson Reuters, there is a 19.8 percent improvement in the number of publications (392 articles per 3 November 2017) compared to 2016. In averaged, there is 60.2 percent improvement every year.
The details, based on data from the Ristekdikti Research and Community Development Information System (Simlitabmas), UNAIR were recorded conducting 622 researches by 2017. Furthermore, in international journals, there were 393 publications inScopusand 70 publications at ISIThompson Reutersin 2017.
Prof.Nasih revealed that the improvements are done continuously.In addition, cooperation and teamwork among the supporting elements must be continuously improved.

In the end, Prof.Nasih advised the academic community and others to continue to fight to become heroes.
“Be heroes who create independence.Heroes who work on freedom.Heroes who do not create colonization but the heroes who liberate society, Indonesia, from colonization, ” he said.
In the assembly, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources as well as alumnus of Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR, Ignasius Jonan, delivered a keynote speech.There were also HC Chairul Tandjung, officials of TNI and Polri.(*)
