UNAIR NEWS“ Welcoming the student admission period, a lot of incorrect information is circulating in the community related to the student admission at such as the issue of rising tuition fee, until the practice of brokers on behalf of UNAIR conducted by irresponsible people.
Responding the growing issues, UNAIR through Student Admission Center and Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) will have an Open House which will be held for three days on February 23-25.In the Open House, UNAIR gives the widest opportunity for teachers, prospective students, and parents to obtain information about studying at UNAIR.
“The Open House will give information about UNAIR as clearly as possible,” said Achmad Solihin, SE., M.Si., as the Head of PPMB UNAIR.
Solihin said that there has been a lot of incorrect information circulating in the community about studying at UNAIR such as the expensive tuition fee, or guaranteed admission with certain amount of money.
“That is the wrong information.UNAIR is a big state university but in terms of financing, it is low cost and still observing the ability of the community, and paying attention to quality, “said Solihin.
Later, the Open House will be held at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), Campus C UNAIR.In addition to exhibition of each faculty and program, participants can participate in a talk show with relevant speakers about admission at UNAIR.The plan, UNAIR will also invite speakers from the government and faculty leaders and programs to provide information.
“This is a right moment in the middle of the admission period of state universities.So schools can come, including parents.It will be very effective as all programs are assembled there.Parents and the prospective students can ask directly related to the programs, “he explained.
At the end, Solihin hoped that the Open House will be a medium that will provide clear information to the public.He said that through this Open House UNAIR will provide confirmation on incorrect information circulating in the community.(*)
