UNAIR NEWS– Not only donated books and traditional toys, in Airlangga (Amerta) Candradimuka, thousands of freshmen from 51动漫 followed various other activities.There was a roleplay activity that was intended to generate students’ critical thinking.As a student, it cannot be separated from the academic culture of writing, reading, and expressing opinions.
Being held in Campus C UNAIR area on Monday, August 6, thousands of freshmen in white shirts and with blue yellow hats were active in the roleplaying activity.Freshmen from various faculties practiced to speak in front of their groups.
Dani Ali Syafii, as the coordinator of Amerta program said that all freshmen were divided into 16 Garuda.Each Garuda consists of 25 knights.Each Garuda will get five sub-themes which are divided into 25 knights.
“Freshmen were given their respective roles between the pros and the cons on the subthemes,” explained the 2016 Anthropology student.
The roleplay session was started with the statement from a moderator.Then, continued with argument presentations for five times from the pros and cons in accordance with the sub-themes and roles obtained.
“Later on the best students in the roleplay will be announced at Amerta Abiseka on 11th,” he added.
On the same day, in the afternoon new students were asked to donate books and traditional toys.The books and traditional toys will be given to the community service division of Student Executive Board (BEM), Faculty BEM, and communities.
“Every student donated traditional toy priced from 0 to 10,000 rupiah.So there is no need for new toys, ” he explained.
Regarding the donated books, Ali said there were no specific criterias but freshmen were not allowed to carry notebooks, magazines, or similar books to them.
“We emphasized them to bring a book in accordance with their own department,” he added.
Activities that day were closed with Panca Tirta Display Student Activity Unit (UKM).In this activity freshmen were invited to get to know more about UKM in UNAIR.At 16:00 they were allowed to return to their homes.
