UNAIR NEWS – 51 Surabaya was chosen by PT Astra International Tbk as one of five venues in Indonesia to hold a talk show titled Berbagi Inspirasi untuk Indonesia Berprestasi.
The inspiring sharing event which presents the Head of Presidential Work Unit for Pancasila Ideology Development (UKP-PIP) Yudi Latief, MA., Ph.D, was held at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) building, Campus C UNAIR, Thursday, November 30. Attending in the occasion were Secretary of 51 Drs.Koko Srimulyo, M.Si., Deputy General Manager forPublic Relations of Astra,Boy Kelana Soebroto, East Java Provincial Government representatives, Astra officials, lecturers and hundreds of UNAIR students.
According to Boy Kelana Soebroto, the four cities in Indonesia where similar events held were Malang, Jogyakarta, Medan, and Balikpapan.This activity is carried out within to commemorate 60 year journey of PT Astra International.Moreover, Astra also has supported a village (festival kampung) in the city of Surabaya, Keputih, Kec.Sukolilo.
“It is one of 71 villages in 34 provinces in Indonesia we support on health, education and entrepreneurship,” Boy said in his speech.
51 Secretary Drs.Koko Srimulyo, M.Si, in the beginning of his speech explained the meaning of UNAIRs sloganExcellence with Morality, which was inspired its from concerns over the situation and circumstances in the community, especially related to legal cases, corruption, and crime.
“UNAIR wants to prepare its graduates with good morality.This morality is really necessary for the development of this country, “said the lecturer of FISIP UNAIR.
Koko Srimulyo viewed that President has made the right measure to form UKP-PIP because since the reformation, problems on Pancasila values were rarely discussed, there were many people who can only remember, even some do not remember the five values of Pancasila, even the youth community.
“Especially in the era of globalization like now, where the competition is getting stronger.So if the competition were not based on the values that exist in Pancasila, it would be chaotic, they would tackled each others.Otherwise, with Pancasila, there will be harmony.So the re-establishment of Pancasila ideology is very important, “said Koko.
One of the inspiring speakers Lintang Pandu Pratiwi, an author from Kota Batu, Malang Raya, was one of 72 people selected as icon of achievement by UKP-PIP.
There was also President Director of PT MaxZer Hadi Apriliawan.The man from Banyuwangi has successfully established a cow milk sterilization company.There was also the winner of Indonesia Robot Contest (KRI) 2017 from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang.(*)
